About this Talk
Current Situation: Empennage (aircraft tail section) build was 215.49 labor hours. Router sequencing was sub-optimal. Hardware was not kitted.
Goal: Reduce labor hours by 20%.
Countermeasures: Improve build area, re-sequence work instructions, consolidate inspections, and kit hardware.
Results: Empennage build reduced to 166.65 labor hours (23%). Further improvements and outsourcing in work.
