About this Talk
Current Situation: R Cover line capacity could not meet 96Ki’s orders because of repeated quality defects, in which 94.9% was scratch defect. Therefore, the associates must work overtime about 1.5h/day, which caused them tired and stressful.
Target: Reducing scratch defect in the process from 94.9% to 0% to increase the line capacity, fulfill the order and reduce fatigue and stress for associates. Countermeasures: Making conveyor to replace manual steps in transferring the parts and making see-sawing rollers with counterweight to avoid the parts' collision
Result: 100% of scratch defect of R Cover was eliminated. Thus R Cover Line capacity was enhanced that it could meet 96Ki’s order.
