Reducing Environmental Impact: Recycling Nitrile Gloves

A Talk by Recycops (Honda Aero, Inc, HAI)

About this Talk

Our current situation is we are using a large amount of nitrile gloves. We bought approximately 100,000 gloves last year. All of which are going to landfill. We wanted to aim to divert at least 50% of these from landfill. We also thought it would be a good idea to reduce costs through the process. We wanted to see if we can cut costs by 10%. We decided to check out a program called Right Cycle by Kimberly Clark. In our first month we were able to divert 6,000 gloves from landfill and we also cut costs by about 57%.
